Labour Definitions
7 of 8: 7 hours of work in an 8 hour span (1x 60 unpaid minute meal/safety break required)
10 of 12: 10 hours of work in a 12 hour space (2x 60 unpaid minute meal/safety breaks required)
Scheduled Overtime (over 7 hrs):
M-Sat (7+) + Sunday regular shifts = 1.5x.
Sunday 7+ = 2.25x

Labour Parameters
Please allow at least 30 minutes between your arrival and rehearsal time if you don’t require stage setup. Technicians are required to be on-site at least one hour prior to your performance.
A 15-minute break is required for all staff after no more than 3.5 hours of continuous labour. An unpaid meal break of one hour is required for all staff after 5 hours of labour. Employees cannot exceed a 12 hours span of day, including breaks. If you require more than 12 hours in one day, arrangements must be made for a secondary team for your event.
A member of our team will contact you at least 4 weeks prior to your event to confirm a daily schedule.

We can accommodate a variety of custom seating layouts (dinner, gala, cabaret, blended).
The room is set in “Theatre Style” by default. With the theatre seating fully or partially removed, other configurations are possible.
For custom seating setup and teardown, labour charges will apply.
Ticketing Fees
Promoters set their own ticket prices.
The Box Office collects ticket revenues in trust for the promoter.

Showpass service fee of 2.1%+ 70¢ (per ticket).*
3% flat fee for all credit card transactions.*
A venue capital improvement service fee.*

*While we recommend that these fees be included in the face value, these fees may be passed on to the ticket purchaser in whole or in part. Canadian requires us to advertise all-in pricing.
Voids/Refunds
If you wish to issue a refund or void a ticket (sold or complimentary), a $2/ticket service charge applies and will be added to the final invoice.
Please note that refunding or voiding a ticket does not reverse the Showpass or venue CIF fees.
Streaming Tickets
We have streaming capabilities in our theatre. Please contact your booking administrator to discuss streaming and ticketing options and rates.
Complimentary Tickets (Free Tickets)
For a one-time batch of hard-copy printed complimentary tickets distributed by the promoter, a $1/ticket fee applies.
If you would prefer to issue digital comps or leave hard-copy tickets for patrons to pickup at the box office, you may send us a one-time list of names or emails to manually process your comp tickets, a $2/ticket service fee applies. This includes:
Digitally-issued (emailed from the box office software at the promoter’s request)
Hard-copy tickets left for pickup at the box office.
Service Fees will be added to the Client’s final invoice.
Promotional Tickets (Sold by Client)
Promotional tickets are physically-printed ticket bundles at the highest price point consigned to the promoter to be sold independently of the online sales portals, usually for sale by performers to their friends and family for cash.
Ticket Returns
To receive credit for ticketing fees, any unused Comp or Promo tickets must be returned to the Polaris Box Office no later than 48 hrs before your event.
